Collective choreography: Jenny Ocampo & dancers
The work is based in working with improvised movement for instant composition. It has nevertheless an structure, different themes and tasks. The development of solos, duos, trios, quarttets, etc is based on inner and physical states as well as on the investigation of certain qualities of movement. The collective material came from the work with touch and synergic dynamics developed among others through the awareness of inhabiting space and time.

EXIT: Humanity (2015-16)
in 2013 Philip Grüneberg, the director of EXIT: Humanity, started to conceive this project which has had several periods of development. In 2015 I joined the project as choreographer and performer. We were working in Silvia, Cauca Colombia with youth from the Misak culture, exchanging knowledge and learning about each other. With authorization of the Cabildo we were allowed to travel to their sacred places, and meet with the wise people of their community. They taught us principles of their culture and also manifested their worries about losing it. At the end four young people from their community were allowed to participate in our project and were as taking part in our workshops in Silvia. Further on they joined us in the creation process in Bogotá and the tour in Germany.

SANCOCHO DE SUEÑOS (2012)
A project with a self-taught youth circus from Ciudad Bolivar, Bogotá.
In 2012 we spent two months working with a self-taught youth circus from Ciudad Bolivar, Bogotá. Ciudad Bolivar’s urban area has the poorest population in Bogotá and is known for its rampant levels of violence due to a large activity of gangs, mafia, among others. It remains an unforgettable and grateful experience for us.
Directed by Jennifer Ocampo Monsalve (Jennie Ocampo) and Philip Gregor Grüneberg in collaboration with NENTEQUEBA CIRCO
